Actually the project of one Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock, a multi-instrumental talent with a history going back to the 1960's.

His professional output started with the immaculately conceived cosmic opus MUSIC FOR PARADISE, which took the most esoteric Ashra style, along with hints of the early glissando guitar fronted "Tangerine Dream", and a little new-age atmosphere, all infused with a new vitality, and a hypnotic quality uniquely of his own invention. The second album THE COLOURS OF LIFE mellowed a little, but is notable for some stunning guitar, and a wider range of instrumental textures. The later TRANCE 'N' DANCE and IN SEARCH OF ETERNITY saw a move to more commercial realms.

Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock is still active on the scene as Mind Over Matter, under his own name, and with "Cosmic Hoffmann". He has also worked as guest guitarist with Dutch synthesist Ron Boots and others. His finest in recent times is the deep and atmospheric SHAMBALA, which revisits some themes from MUSIC FOR PARADISE along with some new works, as an album apparently for the fans of his more atmospheric music.
